We opened Synergy, our traditional home decor shop and mini-boutique, because we were inspired by the wonderful mix of handmade decorative accessories we found as we traveled for business and pleasure.  We wanted to showcase collections of items made by local and global artisans, along with vintage and new home decor.                                                                           We are painting old furniture with our own "prairie primitive" twist.  The colors and textures are wonderful, like the hutch above.  And look at this fabulous art deco buffet below, perfect for any decor.  It is a great buy at $360.00.   We love the slightly shabby look with a spattering of contemporary items and antiques.  The vintage dresser below has a lovely rose-gold finish for $150.00.  And for just a little more the red slightly distressed chest has beautiful lines.   In the shop, you will find various elements including pottery, glass, metal, framed prints, baskets, shabby chic, primitive, contemporary, hand painted furniture and classic antique and vintage items, all living together harmoniously (in synergy).                 We also have some of our own handmade boxes, trays, and original mixed media artwork.  For example, these contemporary pictures of rocks and wood samples are handmade from canvas, fabric, paper, and acrylic.  They will make quite a statement anywhere in the home. "Fissure" "Woods"                                             We always try to pass along the best prices to you and many of our NEW furniture pieces and accessories are priced well below retail.                    ____________________________________________________________________________ THE CLOSET We have expanded our boutique section with many more new clothing items, as well as purses, shoes, scarves, sunglasses, and jewelry.                                                                                      Come visit "THE CLOSET", our mini-boutique area with new, vintage, and "like new" clothing, purses, scarves, belts, hats, and fun jewelry.  We shop for you to find unique items at great prices.  Now we are adding shoes and makeup lines to our boutique. We are again offering Sari skirts made in India of vintage sari dress silk and rayon, by women's consortiums.  These are fabulous for pairing with a simple tee or you can really dress them up.  Each is made of two layers of different printed fabric so they are reversible and can also be worn as a dress or top.  They are all wrap arounds and fit virtually everybody.  They do come in three lengths so there is something for everyone.                                                                              We still have some stretch jean jackets, and a shipment of beautiful jackets on the way for fall.  We are adding more very reasonably priced estate and new jewelry, as well as our own hand sculpted silver pieces.                                                                                                          Please contact us with any questions about the shop or our merchandise.
